Product Description
This kit comes with everything that you'll need to convert your bicycle into a motorized bike, NO need to buy anything else. You'll still be able to pedal the bike and ride like normal or start the engine by releasing the clutch lever. There's no rope pulling needed. You can stop or start the engine as you ride. Twist grip hand throttle controls speeds from 25 to 30/mph depending on the gear ratio. (MPG 100-150) This installation kit comes with a 48 tooth 9 hole chrome racing sprocket with easy to install 9 bolt universal mounting hardware that clamps over the rear wheel hub and spokes. This creates a totally independent drive sprocket and chain that does not interfere with your current drive chain or peddling. With the built in clutch you maintain full function of the original bike. Pedal, shift, and ride your bike like normal. The engine kit only adds about 19lbs to your bike. When you want to engage the engine simply release the clutch hand lever and the engine springs to life. To power off simply press the included kill switch.

This is an excellent project to complete even for someone like me that's not really mechanically inclined.
Just had it out for a spin today, it runs good once it's put together right!!! Just make sure you do not hook the white wire up to anything which I found out the hard way!!!
 Good Buy Except for the Modifications and Fit February 17, 2010

I purchased this item as a Xmas present for my nephew. The item arrived quickly and was well packaged. After my nephew and his father opened the gift to put it together, there were some modifications that had to be made in order for the motor to fit on the bike (my nephew received a new bike for Xmas too, specifically to fit the motor). Luckily, my brother is mechanically inclined and was able to get the motor mounted and ready to go. The motor is a good buy and I would recommend it, except for the slight modifications needed to fit it on the bike.

Order this product for my son's Xmas present. Reading the item discription it appeared that this would be an easy device to install. When my son opened the gift and we began pulling out all of the parts, I began to see that this would not be as simple as the description lead me to believe. I pulled out the directions thinking it would be a long processes but as long as I did it step by step it shouldn't be a problem. I began to read the directions and found that they were very brief and did not cover everything that needed to be done. Long story short, I ended up taking the bike and the motor to a small engine repair shop and had them install it. They were able to install the engine on my sons bike with a few modifications to the mounting hardware and drive chain. My son is very happy with his "Moto Bike" and it was well worth the trouble however, if you dont have experience working on small engines make sure you have a reliable mechanic to install.

This is what my dad wanted for Christmas. There were to things that disappointed me. One was the instructions. I thought that the 2 page booklet was not enough. The other was that it did not fit on his bike. He had to go out and buy a new bike to use it. He has it all put together ready to go. Now he is just waiting for spring so that he can try it out.

this was a bad buy.the product came packaged perfectly,but the product itself does not work.when checked into thoroughly i discovered inner corrosion on the magneto.as if it was used and then sat in the rain.i don't know what to do.i suppose once you disassemble a product,it voids the sellers responsibility.but that is the nature of this product.it takes tools to use this product so that would imply that if you assemble it and it don't work,you are screwed.at least thats how i feel cause the seller has not responded yet.even to inquire.so i will never buy from this seller again,if i can identify the seller.since this is sight unseen.so...be wary.people do sell junk.even on amazon.
