Editorial Reviews:
Product Description A smaller version of the X-250 & latest in product innovation and future technology. Welcome to the X-140. The X-Treme X-140 offers you a 140 Watt electric motor + 2 batteries equaling 24 output volts and you get all of this under an Aluminum deck. The X-140 rides on the latest technology and features 6" tires, Plastic Mag wheels, and features a rear drum braking system. The X-140 is a great little electric scooter. This scooter cannot be easily broken. The frame is made of high tension steel, the deck is made of Aluminum. This is a great scooter for smaller kids & it easily folds and locks in the folded position for storage or transportation. It will fit in the trunk of any vehicle and could probably fit into a school locker if needed. The X-140 will be dependable & tough. It can be dropped, jumped, and put through the rigorous use any young kid is going to give to it and be used every day with no problems. The top speed is up to 10 MPH which is a little slower than the X-250 which tops out at around 15 MPH. We still suggest riders always wear a bicycle helmet and other safety gear when riding any size scooter. Suggested Max Weight: 200 lbs.

Customer Reviews: Damaged goods January 7, 2010 Haley Page (Chappell Hill, Texas United States) I would not recommend buying an X-Treme scooter. I bought two, each from a different vendor. One scooter arrived with a broken on/off switch and the drive belt on the second one broke within two weeks. The manufacturer will not replace either scooter and is very slow to send the correct parts.
Because the scooters were Christmas presents for two of my grandsons, I actually bought a Razor scooter to replace the X-Treme scooter that arrived damaged. The Razor scooter arrived in perfect condition and my grandson is very happy with it. We are still waiting for the replacement belt for the second X-treme scooter. Hopefully it will arrive and both grandsons will have a working scooter. In the meantime, I am stuck with an X-treme scooter I neither want nor need.
