At birth the Dirt Dog came with a 43cc engine, in 2004 it grew to a 49cc engine and added dirt bike bars, in 2006 we added the 52cc chrome engine, and now the Dirt Dog comes with larger MX style adjustable bars, stunt pegs, and 10" off road tires! See it in action here: 52cc Dirt Dog Video This 52cc engine comes stock with a high performance HP Air Filter and velocity stack. The easy to clean element filter lets your engine breathe easier and when combined with the velocity stack, gets more air into your engine. More air, means more gas can be pulled in resulting in a higher power output. These filters are not quiet either; you will hear more air inlet noise with this sort of filter. I run one on my scooter and enjoy the sound of hearing my engine wind up, get on the powerband and suck down the fuel. Want to go faster? Add on the optional power pipe to open up the power band and increase top speed. Bolts on, looks great and totally increases engine performance. Order at time of checkout to get it all shipped at once. Again, this is an optional pipe, it is not included for the base cost of the scooter. Bolts on easily, after you remove the existing muffler. Do not count on this powerpipe making this scooter quiet enough for a paper route; it's for power and speed, not to make the scooter quieter. Be careful when you test ride the scooter after installation, when the engine comes onto the powerband, it's not uncommon for the scooter to wheelie if you are not prepared and keeping your weight over the front wheel.
