I researched this purchase extensively and compared many models. I was somewhat hesitant to buy this scooter because of the one poor review here on Amazon. The motor on my wife's old Pride Dash had almost come apart when all the bolts come loose after many many years of use. Although I eventually partially repaired it, (it no longer freewheels), we needed something more reliable for travel. The only complaint we have with this scooter is that it is slightly less powerful than the Dash. That is the reason for four stars instead of five. She needs to get a running start for the seams on airport plane bridges, or back up and do it again. The range and speed have been fine. It comes with a metal framed seat. I was concerned because I couldn't be sure of this from the description. Stay away from plastic seats. They don't last. We have had no problem with the seat post. My wife is not huge, but she is no lightweight either. (I hope she doesn't read this) I suspect the other user was exceeding the weight limit. The headlight and the more comfortable and sturdy seat make this a great travel scooter. The price was very good and it qualified for Amazon Prime, which was amazing! We got it in 2 days, in time for our Las Vegas trip. She was able to use it all day without it running down. It is easy to assemble and reassemble and fits easily into the trunk of our four door compact car. It is also easy to recharge without having to remove the battery pack, but you can remove to charge if you want to. This is also a plus.

there is a bushing between the seat post and the tube that supports the seat. the bushing broke twice in the first two months. manufacturer replaced the first one and refused to replace it the second time, claiming abuse. scooter was an indoor only scooter, ridden by one person who is well under the weight limit.
pay a couple of extra bucks and get a better scooter and warantee. the seller, all time medical, tried hard for the second replacement. good seller. miserable manufacturer.
